Development envisages 93-bedroom project on Thomas Street
Dublin City Council has refused planning permission for a seven-storey aparthotel on Dublin’s Thomas Street in the Liberties.
The report said that the site was being used as a surface car park “which is a highly inefficient and unsustainable use of a scarce land resource in the inner city”.Irish and UK investors in €49.5m deal for Cork’s Blackpool Shopping Centre The council said that “furthermore it is considered that the proposal would have a negative impact on the archaeological and built heritage interests along Thomas Street”.
