Hero firefighters from Dublin have received a prestigious award from PETA for saving the life of a cat.
Global animal protection organisation PETA has awarded the crew a ‘Hero to Animals’ award for their bravery. The crew graciously accepted the award and posed for a photo in front of a firetruck holding the plaque. The animal welfare organisation is reminding all pet owners to have a plan for their furry friends in case of an emergency, like a fire. It encourages owners to have carriers for their pets and also to put signs on their doors or windows to alert rescue workers to the presence of dogs, cats, and other animals. Biscuit the cat’s life was saved as the Dolphin’s Barn crew luckily had a pet oxygen mask.

Dublin Hospital Death: African Woman Dies Hours After Giving BirthNimco Nuur, a 33-year-old mother of four, passed away at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin just hours after delivering a baby girl. The inquest heard that Ms Nuur had experienced headaches and vomiting before going into a seizure at her home.
