A Garda station in Dublin was evacuated on Sunday night after a member of the public brought in a suspect explosive device found nearby. The Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal team made the device safe, and Clondalkin Garda Station has since fully reopened.

As a precaution, the Garda Station was closed and a cordon was put in place while the Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal were rushed to the scene and the device was made safe. A Defence Forces spokesperson confirmed that members of the bomb disposal unit were dispatched to the scene following a report of the suspected device on Sunday.
