Three more homes battled it out for a coveted place in the final last night
A contemporary Victorian home in Dublin, described as an "art gallery", has made it into the final of Home of the Year.
Scoring 27 points, architect Hugh Wallace said: "This is like walking into an art gallery. The homeowner is using this dramatic colour to reinforce their artwork."Speaking about her home, Mary said: "We love our home and I think when you've done a big renovation, it means so much more. It truly does mean the world to us."Jason and Katrina moved into this home in 2004.
The family describe their home as an homage to late Edwardian and early Art Deco styling; using bold colours, carefully curated furnishings and original artworks for their theme and they are proud of having completed a very sensitive restoration of an Edwardian period home.In 2020, he began the four-year long process in building his home on family land and designed and managed the build himself.
