Adrian Adam was charged under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act with making a threat to kill or cause serious harm to a named female at his apartment on May 2

A man accused of making a serious threat to a woman at his home in Dublin has been granted conditional bail.

He was charged under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act with making a threat to kill or cause serious harm to a named female at his apartment on May 2. Mr Adam was held overnight and brought to appear before Judge Conor Fottrell at Dublin District Court on Saturday. There was no objection to bail if Mr Adam signed on three days a week at a local garda station and notified gardai in the event of an address change. The defendant did not address the court and had yet to indicate a plea, but he signed the bail bond, accepting the conditions imposed by the judge.

A decision has yet to be made as to whether the case will stay in the District Court or go to the Circuit Court, which, on conviction, has wider sentencing powers.
