Eamonn Holmes once issued a brutal three-word dig to former ITV co-worker Philip Schofield - who is about to embark on his first presenting venture since his scandalous exit from This Morning .
The scandal led to Philip's career taking a notable knock - with the presenter stepping down from all public-facing roles as the outcry ensued. His once-close friendship with Holly was also left shaken, and their bond appears to be far from healed. After Philip first stepped down, Eamonn took the social media with his grievances, fuming: "Schofield has finally been caught out". As well as liking a fair few tweets slamming the former faces of This Morning, Eamonn also declared that the pair 'deserve each other'. Taking aim at the former besties, Eamonn remarked: "And she says, 'Oh, the couch will not be the same without him being there'. Well, she wanted him not there.
He continued: "This is most definitely a first for me and the only thing I felt compelled to do. It appealed to me on so many levels. I've recently had a lot of time to think about my life, what went right and what went wrong, but I've always had the safe arms of friends and family wrapped around me. This time it's just me, no phone, no comforts, no crew and only lip balm as a luxury.
