Eamonn Holmes has hit out at people who have criticised him following his decision to head off on a loved-up cruise with his younger girlfriend, months after splitting from Ruth Langsford
The 64-year-old broadcaster was recently seen with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, 42, soaking up the sun having escaped the English weather in favour of a cruise. During their getaway, Eamonn was seen with his arm around Katie's bum as they disembarked a cruise ship in cities such as Ibiza and Barcelona.

A second added: "He lost such a lady." But others were quick to defend Eamonn and he furiously hit out at the trolls by liking his fans comments. One wrote: "Keep it positive people or scroll on? It’s easy.
Speaking of their romantic holiday, a source told The Sun: "The cruise is just the latest proof of their closeness. Katie has been telling pals she and Eamonn are going to be for keeps — and now everyone is starting to believe her." They added: "Eamonn's zest for her — the latest being this all-expenses-paid trip — has wowed Ruth and pals. He has found a new lease of life for sure. Everyone is amazed.
