Erik ten Hag has been coming under pressure amid Manchester United's dreadful season, with incoming stakeholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe expected to make big changes in the football department
Erik ten Hag is one relieved man this morning after getting a spectacular double dose of Manchester United luck.
Ratcliffe also feels that Ten Hag can turn the team’s fortunes around IF he is given time and the support of a more efficient recruitment operation. United took some heat off their boss with a lucky 1-0 victory at Fulham thanks to Captain Bruno Fernandes' 90th-minute winner. Ten Hag has lost eight of United’s 16 games this season. But after today’s clash with Fulham, they face a make-or-break Champions League trip to Copenhagen and Premier League games against newly promoted Luton and Everton.
Ratcliffe is understood to be concerned about the huge fees United have paid in recent years and whether the club has been getting value for money. He has earmarked a personal investment of almost £250million to be spent on the infrastructure of the club once his deal with the Glazers has been signed.
