Kevin Turen, who produced iconic shows such as HBO's Euphoria and The Idol, has suddenly died at just 44 years old, his heartbroken father Edward Turen has confirmed

The producer's father released a statement confirming Kevin's death, but did not note a cause of death. Instead, Edward, Kevin's father, wrote in a statement for Deadline: "Kevin was so incredibly special, this world is going to be less without him.

He made his producing debut on the 2005 indie film Wassup Rockers from director Larry Clark.

Turen recently produced the Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Mia Goth's X and Pearl and HBO's Euphoria and The Idol. Tributes began falling in for Turen, as his co-worker Cassian Elwes commented on X, formerly Twitter : "What people don't realize is actually Hollywood is a small town.
