A number of events have been cancelled across Suffolk, due to Storm Babet and Storm Ciarán.
Much of Suffolk has been left water-logged after Storm Babet and Storm Ciarán swept the county.The 2023 fireworks display at Heveningham Hall, near Halesworth, was due to take place on 4 November
Sprites Primary Academy in Ipswich was due to hold its fireworks display on Thursday, but made the decision to cancel the event."We tried everything to keep the show going on. We considered reducing the event, changing the dates, moving location. Despite our best efforts, we were beaten by Storm Ciarán on this occasion."
Undley Farm was due to hold its fireworks display on 2 November, but also cancelled due to weather conditions.Stonham Barns Park said: "The venue was advised by the organisers Fireworks Emporium to cancel due to the wet weather conditions around Storm Babet."The Lindsey Rose pub said on its Facebook page that the storms have "left us with no choice but to postpone" a planned fireworks display.
Charlie Buckle, owner of the pub near Hadleigh, said: "There's absolutely no way we could cancel our fireworks event. We know that everyone looks forward to it, so we have decided to postpone it for a couple of weeks."
