The weather in Ireland is expected to be changeable and unsettled, with thunderstorms, possible hail, heavy rain and gale force winds expected to take over this weekend
Met Eireann are warning people that the country should expect gale force winds and thunderstorms over the weekend.
On Saturday night, strong to gale force southerly winds will push eastwards across Ireland from the Atlantic. Saturday, 22 February Tomorrow, Saturday, will be a bright day with plenty of sunshine on offer and just a few passing showers, these mainly affecting the west and northwest. Highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds. Sunday, 23 February Wet and windy to begin on with widespread rain. Some heavy falls with spot flooding possible. The rain will gradually clear eastwards through the morning and afternoon but it will remain windy with scattered blustery showers following from the west, some of them heavy with isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in strong to gale force southwest winds.
