Between Storm Éowyn and bouts of snowfall, Ireland has experienced nearly every weather extreme, with the forecaster now warning that temperatures are expected to drop
Ireland is set to see temperatures drop this week, with parts of the country getting subzero conditions.
They stated: “Decent dry spells for many but showers in the far north and west. Turning more unsettled over next weekend.” Tonight showery outbreaks of rain will continue, heavy in places. Turning breezy as well as light to moderate north to northwest winds freshen, becoming strong to near gale force in southwestern counties by morning. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees.
Tuesday night will be dry for a good part of the country, but there will be some scattered showers in the north and west with some wintry falls in the north. Frost and icy patches are likely with some fog pockets too with mostly light winds. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +3 degrees.
