The increase in temperature is definitely welcome after last week's extreme cold snap with snow and ice wreaking havoc across the country - here's the forecast for this week
Waking up this morning is certainly a welcome change from last Monday morning, when subzero temperatures and snowfall had the country in their grips.
Temperatures will reach highs of 14 degrees in parts of the country but rain and drizzle will also be present. It will be largely dry but there'll be some areas of mist and drizzle, especially in southern coastal areas. Maximum temperatures will range from 11 to 14 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds. It will be mostly dry on Tuesday night with clear spells developing in many areas.
