Ireland is preparing to bid farewell to the shorter, darker days of winter, with a much-anticipated clock change on the horizon
A clock change is on the way, with people set to lose an hour in bed this month, but in return the nights will remain brighter for longer.
The clocks will go forward by one hour on Sunday, March 30 - meaning that clocks will go from 1.59am to 3am, giving us less time in bed but more daylight in the evenings. The clocks will eventually go back one hour on Sunday, October 26, as we prepare to plunge ourselves back into winter.Moving the clocks forward one hour in the spring grants us more daylight during summer evenings, and moving clocks back one hour in the autumn grants us more daylight during winter mornings.
