Extraordinary footage in new RTE series will show birth of rare tigers in Dublin Zoo
Extraordinary film footage of the birth of two of the rarest tigers on the planet in Dublin Zoo is set to be aired in a new RTE series tomorrow night.
It gives audiences of the show which is watched around the globe a fascinating glimpse into the bonding of the first-time mother with her two cubs which are vital to the survival of their species which is down to 500 or 600 in the wild. “It gives a great insight for the people viewing the show, they can actually see the birth just like we can.
“She was absolutely text book, she was a great first-time mum. Immediately she was attentive and cleaned the cub and she was still in labour. She has been a super mother.”
