It was confirmed on Thursday that Kenny will remain as Ireland boss for the remainder of the Boys in Green's Euro 2024 qualifying campaign

The FAI have been accused of "kicking the can down the road" by not looking for someone to replace Stephen Kenny to manager by former League of Ireland footballer Paul Corry. But Corry believes it would be better for the FAI to bring in a new manager before then if they are planning to replace Kenny anyway. He told RTÉ's Game On: "My feeling, off the snippets that we heard from Jonathan Hill today, is that maybe they haven't been actively searching for a new manager.

"They're going to give him the three games. I'm not sure what benefit that has. It somewhat feels like they're kicking the can down the road and maybe it is better to have a clean break and rejuvenate the squad. "We look like a team that are easy to beat. We seem to lose games when we seem to be in games, and that's not a good sign either.
