Dave Fanning, a radio legend, continues his popular show Fanning at Whelan’s, which showcases live music from both upcoming and established Irish performers, with the support of his musical family.
Dave Fanning comes from a very musical family, with the radio legend working alongside his son and his wife.
The Virgin Media show is very much a family affair for Dave as his son Jack is a producer on it and his wife Ursula, who is a qualified solicitor, is an executive producer for the programme and she also takes care of the copyright issues. “Then last Sunday we drove in to town and two of them, Ursula and Hayley, went to the 3Arena and myself and Jack went to The Workman’s Club to see The Fynches… of a Sunday night in November, what am I doing!,” he joked.
“Everywhere I go people say it to me, I get it all the time ‘and what you’ve done for Irish music’. I did nothing,” he said.
