Two shootings took place in the one area on Friday

Fears are growing of an all-out gang war in the capital after two gun attacks on homes in the space of 24 hours.

A source told the Sunday Mirror that there are likely to be reprisals. A source said: “This will lead to more deaths. It’s not over, it’s just a matter of time before there’s another attack. The way this is going, it’s highly likely more deaths will occur.” He said: “The gun attack on a house last night in Bluebell was absolutely wrong. Those involved need to be apprehended and face justice. This was an attack on the whole community. Residents no longer feel safe here. I would strongly encourage anyone with information to please contact the Gardaí. We need to stand together against these violent criminals. I have to say, the guards, I find are always cooperative. It’s just down to lack of resources.
