Darragh Canavan was taken to the Mater hospital to get checked out after being caught by an opponent in a tussle for possession during the All-Ireland club final at Croke Park yesterday.

He was helped from the field by Errigal Ciaran manager and Tyrone All-Ireland winner Enda McGinley, who is a physiotherapist himself.With Errigal staging a Peter Harte inspired second half comeback from 13 points back to three at one stage, had their talisman and captain, Canavan, been on the field, you’d have fancied him to create or take a goal, just as he did in the All-Ireland semi-final against Dr. Crokes.
