Pat Flanagan: 'We should have no sympathy for devil worshiping jihadi Lisa Smith'

The Taoiseach wants us to welcome home jihadi bride Lisa Smith with open arms, but not everyone shares Leo Varadkar’s sense of hospitality.

The disclosure in yesterday’s Mirror that Smith could have detonated a bomb on board the Government Jet as her case was never checked shows the danger she posed, and might still pose. This is the adult equivalent of a youngster ringing home to his mother making excuses for running away with the circus.

She also chose to be a jihadi bride and now that the murderous thugs who beheaded, burned alive and crucified their victims have been defeated she wants to come back to Ireland. What about the rights of the tens of thousands of Yazidi women kidnapped and sold into sex slavery by the Jihadists? It is their welfare that should be our concern and not that of a woman who supported the perpetrators of the horrific crimes committed against them. Our Irish Mirror Sports Page - which brings you all your Irish and UK sports news - can be found here. The Irish Mirror Twitter account is @IrishMirror while our sports page is @MirrorSportIE.
