Glenn Whelan, a former Ireland international midfielder, has been appointed as first-team coach at League One club Wigan Athletic under manager Shaun Maloney.
Former Ireland midfielder Glenn Whelan will be in the Wigan Athletic dugout for Saturday’s League One clash with Lincoln City.
