[UCC] Former 'Produce 101' contestant and Ex-IOLITE member Kim Minjeong announces she will no longer pursue the idol life
On December 29, Minjeong stated on her Instagram story that she would no longer pursue the idol life and will leave the idol industry behind. She says that despite no longer wanting to be an idol anymore, she will still train in dance and singing since music is her lifelong dream.
She says that she was tired and confused by constantly joining different companies and having to learn new concepts while not knowing what concept she was best at. She also believes being an idol is a good job but thinks any path that deals with singing and dancing is still good regardless. She even mentions that she originally wanted to quit being an idol before joining IOLITE but decided to give it one last chance when she became a member.
