Irish police have arrested four males in connection with the death of a man found stabbed in a Bray playground. William Moorehouse, 35, was discovered on Sunday evening. A post-mortem is scheduled to aid the investigation.
Gardaí have arrested four males in connection with the death of a man in a playground in Bray on Sunday. William Moorehouse, aged 35, was found by a shocked passer-by lying near a playground on the Boghall Road in Bray , Wicklow, at around 6pm on Sunday. It is understood William suffered a laceration-type stab injury.
On Tuesday, Gardaí carried out seven searches under warrant, and arrested a further four males, a male juvenile, two men aged in their 20’s, and one in his 30’s, in connection with this investigation. The arrested males are currently detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at Garda Stations in the Wexford / Wicklow Division. The Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI) is assisting with this investigation. These arrests follow the arrest of two individuals, both males aged in their 20s and 40s, for serious offences under the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act, 1994 yesterday evening, on Monday January 20, in the Bray area. Both are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in County Wicklow. A post-mortem examination is due to take place today by the State Pathologist, Dr. Sally Anne Collis at the morgue in Whitehall, Dublin. Results of the post-mortem will assist investigating Gardaí in determining the course of this investigation. A full examination of the scene has been carried out by the Garda Technical Bureau and the cordon has been lifted. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
