Manchester Pride 2024 returns this August Bank Holiday weekend and there's plenty of free things lined up to do
Manchester Pride 2024 is almost upon us with one of the biggest celebrations of the LGBTQ+ community in the country taking over the city centre and beyond.
Some of these include festivals, family day parties and dance classes. Whilst some will require booking early to get tickets, some will be open to walk-ins on the day. Of course, it is always worth checking with organisers of particular events ahead of arriving in case plans and details change. There will also be a free John Waters themed cabaret, aptly named The Filthiest Carnival Alive, taking place at HOME on August 17 from 8pm to 11pm. You can find full listings for the festival here.
Cabaret at ON Bar A special cabaret night will be taking place at Gay Village venue ON Bar on Thursday, August 22. Members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies will come together through a series of floats and processions, with tens of thousands of people expected to march through the city centre on Saturday .
The event will run on Saturday, August 24 from 12.30pm to 6pm and will feature art activities, forest-based activities, face painting, and a ping-pong hub.
