They're big on flavour
Three Nottinghamshire restaurants are amongst the winners at a prestigious UK competition celebrating the kind of dishes that will awaken your taste buds. The organisers of the Nation's Asian Food Awards described the champions as "exceptional" after an overwhelming number of entries in the various categories for restaurants and takeaways.
Colombo Street in Nottingham won the crown for Sri Lankan Restaurant of the Year. It's been a successful year for the restaurant in Adams Walk, off Fletcher Gate, which started off as street food truck. The restaurant makes the taste buds tingle with authentic coconut-based curries and sambals and flavoursome chicken wings.Other accolades include Travellers Choice winner on TripAdvisor, and finalist in the South Asian Restaurant of the Year at the Midlands Food and Drink Awards.
