Galway GAA star Liam Silke celebrated a festive engagement after proposing to his partner at an iconic local pub. The Corofin footballer popped the question to Róisín Hession earlier this week, with photos circulating of the pair with friends and of the big rock on the engagement ring, reports Galway Beo. Galway Footballers Homepage sent Silke and his partner a message of congratulations, writing: 'Congratulations to Liam Silke & Roisín Hession on their engagement.

' 30-year-old Liam is the nephew of Galway football icon and All-Ireland winning captain, Liam Silke, and is a stylish defender like his uncle. And like his uncle, he has tasted no little success on the field, especially with club Corofin.
