Police in Tallaght are currently investigating two separate incidents of sexual assault that occurred in the Springfield area on Monday last.The first assault involved a juvenile teenage girl opposite St Mark’s GAA Club on the Cookstown road. Gardaí have forensically examined the area and are following a number of lines of enquiry. There has been a special child interviewer assigned to the victim of this attack.
A second sexually motivated assault was also reported to Tallaght Garda station later on Monday. Two sisters in their late teens were accosted by a group of six young men who tried to wrestle them to the ground. They were groped and the assailants also exposed themselves to the young women.
