A man in his 20s who was arrested during the raid has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)

Gardaí seized €25,000 worth of cannabis as well as a luxury car and three designer watches during a multi-agency search operation in Dundalk yesterday.

In addition to the estimated €25,000 haul of controlled drugs, more than €30,000 worth of assets was also seized during the operation, which was led by An Garda Síochána’s Dundalk Drugs Unit.The local crime and dog units were also involved in the raid, along with the Armed Support Unit, Louth Divisional Search Team, officials from Revenue, and the dog warden.

“One man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of this operation and detained at a Garda station in Co Louth. He has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the DPP,” said the spokesman. “In total, in excess of €25,000 worth of controlled drugs, a quantity of cash and in excess of €30,000 in assets were seized,” he added.
