Gardai arrest uninsured driver after testing positive for four drug categories in Co Cork
The driver, who had no license, is facing a lengthy spell off the road after being pulled over by the Midleton Roads Policing Unit.
A garda tweet said: "Midleton RPU stopped a driver who tested positive for all four drug categories and negative for a driving licence and insurance. Driver arrested and court to follow." Officers say last year was the safest year on record, but 34 people have so far been tragically killed in road incidents since the New Year.
