Gardai in Louth quickly set up a cordon after they were alerted to the discovery of a “suspect device” on New Year's Day
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a “non-viable” suspect device led to a cordon in Louth on New Year’s Day.
A cordon was set up by Gardaí before members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were rushed to the scene to deal with the device.READ MORE: Irish village shocked by spate of cat poisonings that left animals frothing at mouth with wobbly walk “A cordon was established by Gardaí and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended the scene. The device was deemed non-viable and the cordon was subsequently lifted. Investigations are ongoing.”
