A North Lanarkshire village has been granted planning approval for a new community hub project.

The shared hub in Gartcosh will combine the existing Gartcosh Primary School and community hall with new facilities aimed to support the growing population and future housing projects.Lindsey Mitchell, architect director at BDP, said:"The goal of this project is to foster a sense of community by creating shared spaces and facilities that benefit everyone.

The new building will be built on the current primary school's grounds, significantly expanding its capacity from 188 to 434 pupils.
