Sky Sports commentator and Manchester United legend Gary Neville has teased Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale over his reaction to a sensational David Raya save
Gary Neville has jokingly suggested that Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale could be a "good actor" after some David Raya heroics between the sticks against Tottenham.
The ball was cut back to the former Nottingham Forest forward, who scuffed his effort goal-bound and just as it seemed destined to find the back of the net, Raya clawed it away just before it crossed the line. It was the kind of stop that drew applause from everyone inside the Emirates - including Ramsdale.
"It’s the first time they’ve really broken through the lines but Raya, he shifts his feet so quickly. Johnson doesn’t quite catch it cleanly but it’s still a brilliant piece of work from the goalkeeper. What must Aaron Ramsdale be thinking? He just fetches it behind him, reaches out." During his pre-match press conference, Arteta faced plenty of questions regarding his goalkeeper situation and shed light on how Ramsdale has responded to being dropped. He claimed: "I understand [his frustration] and it's very difficult for every player."He's been very supportive and good around the place and that's what I expect from every single player because when you're on the field there is someone else who's not so it works both ways.
