For the first time since the Regency Hotel attack, Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch and his brother Patsy have been seen together. The attack, which led to the death of David Byrne, was part of a meticulously planned event orchestrated by the Hutch family. Despite Gerry Hutch's participation in the General Election, he narrowly missed out on securing a seat in the Dáil Éireann.
Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch has been pictured with his brother Patsy for the first time since the Regency Hotel attack, which occurred in February 2016. The attack resulted in the murder of David Byrne , a 33-year-old associate of the Kinahan gang. At the time, attackers disguised as members of the Garda Emergency Response Unit entered the hotel during a boxing weigh-in and shot Byrne.
The court found that there was a 'reasonable possibility' Patsy Hutch planned the attack, and that Gerard Hutch, as head of the family, tried to manage the aftermath, which was deemed a meticulously planned event orchestrated by the Hutch family. Gerry Hutch recently participated in the General Election, spending the morning removing his election posters with his brother and others, only a day after the election ended. However, he narrowly missed securing a seat in Dáil Éireann
