Gerry Hutch, also known as 'The Monk', was photographed partying with the 'Green Wolves Mcc' biker group in Douglas, Cork. This comes after Hutch narrowly missed winning a seat in the Irish parliament in November. Despite continued threats to his life, Hutch appears to be enjoying his freedom, travelling around Ireland and interacting with the public.
Hutch , who fell short of winning a seat in the Dail in November, was all smiles as he posed with the ‘Green Wolves Mcc’ group in a bar in Douglas in recent days.
Although the threat has dissipated, sources say Hutch is still keenly aware that Kinahan affiliated assassins could still try to kill him - and he continues to take precautions. Sources say the Spanish investigation into Hutch continues - as does a separate Garda investigation into alleged conspiracy to run a criminal organisation.
Detective Superintendent Dave Gallagher, of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, said in his opinion the group is made up of “close family members” and came together and “galvanised” after the Kinahan feud exploded
