Charles Dooher was beaten by five masked men - his heartbroken girlfriend has spoken out

The heartbroken girlfriend of a Co Donegal man who is fighting for his life after being attacked by five men has pleaded for prayers for him saying he has "a long road ahead."

It is understood Charles, who is in his 20s, suffered brutal head injuries during the attack which happened at 10.30am in broad daylight. Devastated Charlotte pleaded with the public for their prayers. He was rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital but was released two days later. Charlotte previously posted on social media how only a year ago, the loving couple were enjoying a very different life in Australia.
