A man in his 60s tragically died in a workplace accident at a premises in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, at approximately 1pm. Gardai and emergency services responded to the scene, and the man was pronounced deceased. The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) was notified and attended the scene. A postmortem will take place, and a file will be prepared for the Coroner's Court.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed "Gardaí and emergency services responded to a fatal workplace accident at a premises in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal at approximately 1pm today, Wednesday, 29th January 2025. "A male in his 60s was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body was removed from the scene and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
"The Health and Safety Authority were notified and attended the scene. A file will be prepared for the Coroner's Court."
