Haydale Care Home received the award for their Corbett Community Cupboard at the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) ceremony held in London on Friday October, 6.
A Tollcross care home has won a national award after kind-hearted residents opened a food bank service to help those in need.
The food bank offers a variety of tinned foods, juices, long-life milk, biscuits and snacks as well as household essentials including nappies and winter jackets. Started as a way to thank the community for their support during the multiple coronavirus lockdowns, the service is run by residents with help from co-ordinators Kirstin Millar and Isabel Cummings.
