Carly Arnott has been visiting the Castlemilk site to pay respects to her dad and grandparents but she has been told to remove their memorial stones permanently.

A Glasgow woman feels as though she is 'grieving all over again' as Glasgow City Council tell families to permanently remove 'unauthorised' memorial stones from Linn Crematorium.

However, a notice has been left by the council stating that due to ongoing refurbishment works at the crematorium, which are due to be finished in three months, the 'unauthorised' stones have been removed and cannot be returned after completion.Carly was left shocked when she read the note and feels grieving families have been treated with disrespect.

"Someone has made the decision to take the only things we have to remember loved ones away from us. I've not slept because of this. After reading the notice, Carly's partner called the bereavement team to find out more about the notice. The items were removed from the wall on July 29 and had been taken to another location to be picked up.

"When I am having a bad time, I feel at peace when I visit it. I even decorate the place for Christmas and anniversaries. "The way people's stuff has been left is absolutely disgusting and the workers were all hiding so they didn't need to speak to us."
