Paddy Brennan still finds himself wishing he could turn back the hands of time - but the former jockey realises how lucky he was to retire from jump racing a healthy man.
With time to reflect on his career, Brennan replays the missed chances in his mind as much as the golden moments. The Colin Tizzard-trained horse was travelling strongly until falling at the three last fence in a race won by Gordon Elliott's Cossack. The ever-present dangers of horse racing were cruelly exposed earlier this month when 24-year-old jockey Michael O'Sullivan died from head injuries sustained in a fall at Thurles.
