European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen's comments on the Israel/Gaza conflict have been criticised in the Dáil just 24 hours after scathing comments from President Michael D Higgins.
The Government has been urged to call for European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to “resign” following her recent comments on the Israel Gaza conflict.
Ms von der Leyen’s comments came on the same day Israel instructed 1.1m people in the Gaza to evacuate their homes. He said: “She has publicly given unconditional support to the State of Israel at exactly the same time that it has publicly declared its intention to commit war crimes. “Israel blatantly says we are going to commit war crimes, commits those war crimes, and Ursula von der Leyn gives them unconditional and uncritical support.
