ADHD may trigger heart disease, new research suggests.
"The reason the link between ADHD andhas not been well understood is that the diagnosis rates increased dramatically only in the last 45 years. Now persons 45 years old are starting to develop coronary disease at accelerated rates," explained Dr. Benjamin Hirsh, a cardiologist at Northwell Health in Great Neck, N.Y.
