Over 1.3 million social welfare recipients will receive a €200 lump sum payment. The package was signed off as part of the Government's spring cost-of-living package
Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys will brief her Cabinet colleagues this morning on when a €200 lump sum payment will be made to over one million people.
The payments are being made this week to 1.3 million pensioners, carers, people with disabilities, working families, lone parents and other groups. Minister Humphreys will tell her Cabinet colleagues that on Friday, almost 611,000 pensioners in receipt of the State Pension will receive their €200 lump sum. This will be on top of their weekly pension payment.
