Ryanair has announced what it has described as eight "rescue flights" between Dublin Airport and London Stansted to help passengers affected by the total shutdown of Heathrow Airport .
. "Ryanair will operate four extra flights between Dublin and Stansted on Friday afternoon as well as four extra flights on Saturday morning. These flights can be booked on Ryanair.com from 9:30am this morning," the spokesperson added. Consultant John Strickland told the PA news agency: “It’s a contained version of 9/11 or, to an extent, the Icelandic volcanic eruption.
