OAKLAND — A West Coast logistics giant has leased a huge warehouse complex at the Port of Oakland, a deal that marks a successful first phase of the redevelopment of the long-defunct Oakland Army Base site.
The just-leased building is the first of two phases in the redevelopment of the former Oakland Army Base. CenterPoint broke ground in 2019 on the building. Brokers Jason Ovadia and Patrick Metzger of commercial real estate firm JLL and Sam Higgins of commercial real estate firm KBC Advisors arranged the lease.
San Leandro-based PCC Logistics provides a wide range of distribution and warehouse services, including some rail services. The company operates out of the ports of Oakland, Seattle, Tacoma, Los Angeles and Long Beach.
