Met Éireann has forecast some intense downpours in parts of the midlands and west especially
The prediction of a heatwave return for Ireland has been dented as Met Éireann tells the public to expect some 'intense' weather.
Met Éireann has forecast some intense downpours in parts of the midlands and west especially during the afternoon and evening, with spot flooding bringing with it a chance of hail this Tuesday. Despite the intense weather conditions in the midlands and west, top temperatures of up to 27C could be reached."Good spells of hazy sunshine although scattered heavy downpours or thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon and evening, mostly in the west with some hail possible and spot flooding," the forecast states.
Highs largely between 22 and 26 degrees with little to no wind aside from sea breezes keeping some coastal fringes slightly less warm.
