A lucky player from County Mayo, Ireland, has won the €5,419,866 Lotto jackpot after matching all six numbers and the bonus in Saturday's draw. This marks the 11th Lotto jackpot won this year and makes the Mayo winner the 35th National Lottery millionaire of 2024. Two Dublin players also won substantial prizes, each taking home €40,341 after matching five numbers and the bonus.
The search is on for Ireland 's latest multi-millionaire, who won the Lotto jackpot on Saturday night. They stand to take home an eye-watering prize of €5,419,866 after correctly matching all six numbers and the bonus. These were 2, 4, 5, 10, 16 17 and bonus 23.
National Lottery bosses have issued an appeal for players to check their numbers carefully. As part of the appeal, they have revealed where the golden ticket was purchased. One Quick Pick ticket was purchased on 27th December from Shiels Supermarket in Malahide, while the other Quick Pick was purchased on the day of the draw from Tesco Extra Balbriggan in the Millfield Shopping Centre.
She said: "What an extraordinary night for Mayo and Dublin players, with three incredible wins! We now have a Mayo player who’s €5.4 million richer, claiming the title of the 35th National Lottery millionaire as we close out the year, and two Dublin players each securing a fantastic €40,000 prize.
