Nine days of rain have been confirmed for Ireland as the national weather forecaster warned of “much wetter than normal” conditions.

Highest temperatures for most of 8 to 12 degrees but it will be cooler in Ulster with highs of 5 to 8 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, southeasterly winds.
