This long weekend will see some sunshine following a week of rain, and thankfully, that good weather is set to stick around for a few days
Although Wednesday and Thursday will see some isolated showers pour down across the country, the weather from Friday onwards is set to be mainly dry, with high pressure firmly in charge, bringing plenty of long sunny spells and fine weather.
He wrote: “Latest model updates show high pressure could well persist for much of next week. Details beyond Tuesday week are little uncertain but very little rainfall on the ensembles for next 10 days at present.” Isolated showers will drift down over the country tonight, turning heavy at times too across the northwest. Becoming rather cloudy overnight with lowest temperatures of 7C to 10C and a northerly breeze.Cloudy with a few showers but by late morning the showers will die out letting some sunny spells break through. Staying dry through to the evening with highest temperatures of 13C to 16C in a northerly breeze.
