McGuirk beat Singaporean darts legend Paul Lim 6-3 in the final to lift the trophy and capture the £50,000 first prize
Monaghan man Shane McGuirk cruised to a sensational victory in the Lakeside WDF World Darts Championship on Sunday.
The 29-year-old only dropped three sets in the entire tournament - all in the final - as he stormed to the biggest title of his career. But Lim had no answer to McGuirk's superior scoring power, and the result was never in doubt from an early stage.
