No other UK theme park offers the perk - but visitors are still unhappy
Blackpool Pleasure Beach has been on the top of every visitor's to do list since it opened over 100 years ago in 1896.
Non-riders were then charged a small free of up to £6 to gain entry to the park, something which people weren't happy with then. Since that time, Blackpool Pleasure Beach no longer offer entry to those purely wanting to soak up the atmosphere.Their website says: "We are currently not offering Pleasure Beach Passes or Ride Tickets. The only way to gain entry to Blackpool Pleasure Beach is to purchase an eTicket. This applies to everyone, except for carers and children aged under 2.
Dennis B said: "It would have cost my wife and self pensioners we are £95 to go in. All we wanted to do was watch the rides. Ridiculous so of course we didn't."Neil J said the same in his review: "Access to the park is extortionate. There is now no park only entry. The only ticket includes the rides, £45 for people over 11 and £40 for under. The park over the bank holiday was empty. The golden days of Blackpool are over.
Michele P said: "I'm absolutely disgusted that you have to pay £42 on the gate just to be able to walk around. We only wanted to take a walk around as my daughter is heavily pregnant and my grandson is only 16months old. Why cant they just offer people a wrist band to just have a look around. Used to go there when I was younger. Will never return."
